The science curriculum is designed to foster science literacy in students as they complete their coursework throughout high school. As students progress through the various science classes, they develop investigative skills and critical thinking to evolve into globally-minded citizens ready to explain life’s natural phenomena and solve real world problems. Through the science curriculum, students are given opportunities to think analytically and creatively to solve problems, make arguments and derive conclusions based on data collection and scientific facts. The goal of the science department is to foster a community of learners, who upon graduation will be able to be successful, global citizens using scientific and technical knowledge to make informed decisions and opinions.
